This course contemplates a broad study on general/internal medicine issues. The intent here is to address from basic principles, through description and technique, to experimental laboratory sessions with practice on live tissue. The program discusses instruments and micro instruments, electrosurgery, the concept for smart operating room, and other approaches.

We are part of the IRCAD network, which includes Barretos, France and Taiwan. We are used to sharing activities among the three centers, as a leading part of those scientific programs. It is very important for us to be here, because the Barretos Cancer Hospital is a most outstanding one in this country, with huge demands for medical and surgical education. This is why IRCAD may be considered as a major educational center for video-assisted surgery in Latin America.
